Manfredi Barbera & Figli SpA’s long-standing tradition dates back to 1894 when it was founded by Lorenzo Barbera. Throughout four generations, the company has maintained the highest traditions of quality by selecting and producing extra virgin olive oil and have received many international awards and acknowledgments.
The profound knowledge of the olive growing territories, the olive plants and their fruit ensures that the qualitative yield is the best possible. The range of products is fairly large and includes over ten different varieties of extra virgin olive oil obtained exclusively from Italian olives, of which the majority are grown in Sicily, as well as the best olives from the Mediterrean area.
All Barbera oils are produced under the standards set by D. Lgs 155/97 (HACCP), which is a systematic approach to the identification, evaluation, and control of food safety, including risk analysis and critical point control. The range of products include: extra virgin olive oil, organic extra virgin olive oil, D.O.P. (Protected Denomination Origin) extra virgin olive oil, infused flavoured extra virgin olive oil. The great majority of the olives employed for the production of our olive oils are picked by hand and crushed within a maximum of 36 hours from the harvesting.
High level and uncontaminated lands embrace wonderful olive groves, whose fruits give an excellent oil.
The olives are crushed with ancient granite grinders and extracted with centrifuge.
This Oil is reliable to tradition and love for the Sicilian organic agriculture that is guarantee of authenticity and excellence.
